Hydraulic dampers are used as travel limits in order to facilitate the closing of a sliding door, thanks to the braking effect which derives from the passing of oil through holes and slots made in the cylinder body 
 The stem of the shock absorber, once compressed, rearms automatically for a new cycle

Safety valve to discharge the braking fluid in the event of a fire and to prevent spontaneous rearming of the stem due to thermal expansion of the fluid

 

 

Through an adjustment system the braking level can be increased or decreased by opening or closing the oil passages through the piston.
